We are launching our ministry with a 12 week Bible study, on Sunday mornings or Monday mornings. We are having two Bible study groups.
Vince Lombardi believed
in building a football team with the basics: this is a football and
blocking and tackling is the formula for a winning football team. Men's Ministry
is much the same in starting with the basics: The football is the Bible
and blocking and tackling are Law and Gospel.
We begin with a Lifelight Bible study
that gives an overview of the Bible. Have you ever wondered why do we have so
many Bible translations?
What is a concordance? Why the maps? This will help you to
understand how a football is put together. We move from the Bible
Overview to the 4 Priorities in being a man after God's heart.
The disciples of John the Baptist early introduction to Jesus
is recorded in John 1:37-39: 37When the two disciples heard him say this, they
followed Jesus. 38Turning around, Jesus saw them
following and asked, "What do you want?" They said,
"Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?" 39"Come," he replied, "and you will
see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was
about the tenth hour.
Come and see and meet the resurrected Lord in his Word and
with other men as you have an opportunity to grow in your faith.
